ExperienceI have a Bachelors of Education in English and Social Studies and have experience teaching students of all ages. I have experience tutoring Canadian students, students with learning disabilities, and English Second Language. I plan according to the needs of the students and can provide learning aids such as graphic organizers.
In Korea I tutored in both individual and group settings. My students ranged from middle school to adult students. Their language abilities also ranged from beginner to advanced. This gave me valuable experience working with ESL students and helped me build cultural awareness.
I believe that everyone wants and deserves to learn, and through tutoring, students can get the help they need to experience greater success in their lives. As a teacher, I have experience in adapting for students who have various needs and tutoring is no exception.
HobbiesI am a world traveler. I recently returned to Canada after spending over a year teaching and traveling in Asia. This had opened my eyes to the world, and I love sharing my stories with students.
I love being active. I am a fitness enthusiast and love the outdoors. Hiking, camping, running, you name it!
Music has been a major part of my life since I was a kid. I am trained in classical and jazz saxophone. For the past few years I played saxophone, guitar, and sang in a band in Saskatoon.
Lastly, I love to read and write. There is nothing better than a good book. I also write about what inspires me whether it is poetry or lyrics.
